We will be closed Monday, May 27, 2019 in obervance of the Memorial Day holiday. Memorial Day is a day to honor the men and women who died while serving in the U.S. military. Originally known as Decoration Day, it originated in the years following the Civil War and became an official federal holiday in 1971.
Charter Township of Bedford Spring Clean-up will be Saturday, June 1, 2019 from 8:00 AM-12:00 noon at Fire Station #3, 5902 Morgan Road. Please bring your valid driver's license. Large furniture and appliances will be accepted. Freon must be removed from refrigerator, air conditioner, etc. and certified tags attached. No tires, brush, dirt, shingles, large construction projects, or hazardous materials (paint, batteries, asbestos, etc.).
Beginning immediately, Bedford residents will be eligible to use C&C Landfill Recycling Center, located at 14800 P Dr. N in Marshall, at no charge. This service is for recycling only and not general trash. C&C Landfill is open M-F from 7 AM-4:30 PM and Saturday from 7 AM to noon. Residents can stop by the township office to pick up a Program Card which will need to be presented at C&C Landfill at each visit. For more information stop by our office. Recycling will no longer be available at the Township Hall.

Sheriff's Office - 161 E. Michigan Ave, Battle Creek
Calhoun County Treasurer - 315 W. Green St., Marshall
The county is working with local veterinarians to begin selling licenses when the animal is being vaccinated.
There is an important initiative happening in our community - the CALHOUN COUNTY TRANSIT STUDY. The Study is being led by the County government with the support of many community partners. Report a pothole or other non-emergency road problem! The Calhoun County Road Commission has an online form to report a road problem. Issues are prioritized based on the number of complaints received, so be sure to report them.
Have you noticed a street light that is out? Be a good citizen and report the problem to Consumer's Energy. They have been very quick about fixing these issues if they are reported. Thank you!
